The Opportunity You’ll define the architectures that connect missions, teams, and technology across the defense enterprise. This role is for a systems thinker who thrives at the intersection of engineering, communication, and strategy—someone who can translate a mission challenge into a secure, executable design and see it through from concept to delivery.
What You'll Work on
Architect and oversee enterprise and mission-system solutions spanning infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity domains.
Lead stakeholder workshops, technical interchange meetings, and executive briefings that turn complex requirements into clear direction.
Produce and maintain architecture artifacts, decision records, and integration plans that anchor delivery and compliance.
Guide teams through modernization efforts, including Zero Trust adoption, cross-domain integration, and IL5/IL6 deployments.
Shape technical solutions for new pursuits—writing proposal architectures, cost trade-offs, and implementation strategies.
Coordinate delivery execution across engineers, developers, and subcontractors to ensure the architecture intent is realized.
Embed security and compliance from the start using STIG, RMF, and NIST 800‑53/171 frameworks.
You Have
8+ years of experience leading or supporting enterprise or mission-system architecture within defense, intelligence, or federal programs.
Experience creating solution architectures, roadmaps, and design documentation across multiple domains.
Experience producing or governing architecture artifacts for reviews and audits.
Experience leading stakeholder and executive engagements, driving consensus on technical direction and delivery priorities.
Experience with program and delivery oversight, coordinating schedules, managing risk, and validating outcomes.
Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks and their integration into enterprise design.
Knowledge of infrastructure and networking integration, data flows, segmentation, and inter‑system connectivity.
Top Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
IAT Level II CompTIA Security+ Certification.
Nice If You Have
Experience leading solution capture or proposal development, including technical writing and cost‑to‑capability analysis.
Experience developing enterprise modernization roadmaps, cloud migration strategies, or Zero Trust frameworks.
Experience managing cross‑functional delivery teams through design and implementation cycles.
Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, or automation tooling.
Ability to influence architecture and build stakeholder consensus.
Possession of strong communication and negotiation skills.
AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification.
Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Top Secret clearance is required.
Compensation Salary range: $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). Compensation is determined by factors such as location, education, skills, and contract specifics. The posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
