Role: Junior Salesforce Developer

Contract: Contingent Upon Award – U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)

Location: Remote work performed in the U.S.; (Occasional travel to DOT HQ – Washington, DC, Navy Yard)

Clearance: Ability to obtain Public Trust (existing transferable Public Trust preferred)

Overview PBG is seeking a Junior Salesforce Developer to assist senior developers in configuring and enhancing Salesforce components within a federal grants management environment.

Responsibilities

Support development of Apex Classes, Triggers, and Lightning Web Components under senior guidance.

Assist in building Flows, validation rules, page layouts, dynamic forms, and user interface components.

Participate in requirements grooming and translate functional needs into basic technical tasks.

Execute unit tests, support test case execution, and resolve lower-level defects.

Document configurations, code changes, test results, and technical workflows.

Assist with data imports, updates, and mapping exercises using Data Loader or Workbench.

Work collaboratively with senior developers, BAs, testers, and QA teams to ensure accurate delivery.

Shadow code reviews and learn PBG and DOT coding standards, security controls, and best practices.

Participate in Agile ceremonies and support end‑of‑sprint demonstrations.

Required Qualifications

BA/BS degree in IT, Business, CS, or related field.

Up to 3 years of Salesforce development/configuration experience.

Basic understanding of Apex, LWC, Flows, and Salesforce data structures.

Ability to obtain Public Trust (transferable clearance preferred).
