Overview PBG is seeking a highly experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to lead complex development efforts for the U.S. Department of Transportation’s modernization of the Unified Grants Lifecycle Management System and Grants Transparency Dashboard. This senior-level role supports a multi-year transformation focused on standardizing, automating, and enhancing DOT’s enterprise‑wide grants processes.

The Senior Developer will serve as a technical leader—driving scalable architecture, advanced Apex and LWC development, OmniStudio design, PSS implementations, secure integrations, and best practices aligned with federal compliance. The developer will collaborate across multidisciplinary Agile teams, mentor mid‑level/junior developers, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality, human‑centered digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead architecture and development for Apex Classes, Triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce (as needed), OmniStudio (DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, FlexCards), and reusable metadata frameworks.

Architect scalable components aligned to Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS), including the PSS data model, standard components, and grantmaking capabilities.

Oversee end‑to‑end technical design supporting DOT’s Pre‑Award, Award, Post‑Award, Program Oversight, and Recipient Oversight phases.

Implement robust integrations with DOT systems such as Oracle financial systems, Grants.gov, SAM.gov, USASpending.gov, and other enterprise services.

Lead data migration strategies including profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, bulk loading, and validation.

Define and enforce architectural standards for secure, compliant configuration aligned with FISMA, FedRAMP, Section 508, and federal grants policy (2 CFR 200).

Conduct advanced debugging, governor limit optimization, performance tuning, and root‑cause analysis.

Lead peer code reviews, enforce development standards, and coach junior/mid developers.

Support development of reusable templates for NOFO creation, merit reviews, award documentation, performance reporting, audit workflows, and closeout.

Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical designs.

Support CI/CD pipeline enhancements and DevSecOps automation within the Salesforce DTC environment.

Ensure technical alignment with DOT’s phased roadmap and human‑centered design best practices.
