Position Description:
deciBel Research seeks an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS). The successful candidate will support the IFICS Data Terminal (IDT) product team in Huntsville, AL.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM discipline from an accredited university.
Experience Requirements:
5+ years of related experience with Bachelor's degree; 4+ years of related experience with Master's degree
Must be able to acquire a DOD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., Security + CE) certification within 60 days from start date
Experience developing object oriented software in C++, Java, Python
Experience with CI/CD best practices, automated builds and tests, quality gates, software quality, and CI tools and pipelines
Familiarity with security coding standard best practices, static and dynamic scanning tools, i.e., SonarQube, Coverity, etc.
Recent experience working with cloud technologies and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud
Recent experience with Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services
Effectively communicate with the team, both internally and externally
Prior experience working on Missile Defense programs
Prior experience working using DOORS
Prior experience using Atlassian Tools
Familiar with Agile terminology and best practices
Prior experience as a Product Owner
Familiar with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Cameo
Familiar with automated software requirements testing and analysis
