Data Test Engineer

ETL(Snowflake) and Reports/Visualization Testing
Responsibilities
Proactively handle large data migration testing projects.
Strategize testing approaches, optimize validation processes, and deliver value-added improvements to enhance data quality.
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT data flows and data transformation logic.
Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake and cloud‑based SQL environments.
Analyze large datasets, complex transformation rules, and derive insights to support data quality improvements.
Drive process automation opportunities (SQL automation, Python scripts, metadata‑driven testing, reusable validation templates).
Optimize current QA processes by identifying inefficiencies, reducing manual steps, and implementing best practices for data validation.
Proactively identify data quality risks, gaps, and bottlenecks, and propose solutions to improve overall data reliability.
Suggest and implement value‑add initiatives such as reusable test accelerators and SQL libraries, automated reconciliation scripts, test data generation strategies, and better test coverage models for high‑risk datasets.
Experience using ALM or similar test management tools.
Proficiency in TIBCO Spotfire testing and dashboard validation of similar BI tools.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong SQL skills.
Knowledge of TIBCO Spotfire, Statistica, Power BI.
Computer System Validation (CSV) experience in Life Sciences.
Hands‑on with OpenText ALM, DBT, JIRA, Confluence, GitHub Copilot.
