Base pay range $200,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Own the Product End‑to‑End: full lifecycle from triaging ideas to final release sign‑off after QA.
Talk to users & observe support interactions: connect with platform engineers, DevOps teams, and developers.
Dig into the details: define usability, edge cases, performance, CLI commands, CRDs, YAML, docs.
Collaborate across functions: work with engineering, design, marketing, sales to publish release notes, iterate documentation, improve onboarding, create assets.
Set direction fast: synthesize feedback, weigh tradeoffs, make hard calls quickly.
Course‑correct quickly as needed: adapt to new information, revise decisions, communicate direction clearly.
Drive open source & commercial success: balance open‑core features with paid functionality.
Requirements
Live and breathe Kubernetes: deep knowledge of OSS, multi‑tenancy, RBAC, CRDs, networking, etcd.
Have built infra tools before: shipped self‑hosted, enterprise‑grade products.
Understand OSS communities: motivations, tensions.
Think like a startup founder: ownership, decisiveness, impact‑focused.
Love the craft of product: UX of UI, CLI, YAML, documentation, onboarding.
Thrive in a high‑speed, low‑structure environment.
Relentlessly curious: ask why, explore alternatives.
Bonus Points
Experience scaling usage of open source products.
Experience with Linear for project management.
Experience with GitHub, Notion, Slack.
Willingness to travel 3‑5 times per year in the US and Europe.
