We’re looking for a strategic thinker and hands‑on problem solver who can lead a team of data scientists and analysts to uncover the “why” behind business performance. The role focuses on deep‑dive analyses across the Global and U.S. business, collaborating with partner teams, and building AI‑driven diagnostic tools to inform real‑time decision‑making.
What You Will Accomplish
Lead and inspire a high‑performing team to conduct sophisticated diagnostic analytics.
Partner cross‑functionally with Ads, Shipping, Focus Categories, and other domains to surface actionable insights.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the U.S. Country Manager with data‑driven performance insights.
Collaborate with Corporate Finance to present strategic insights to the Board of Directors and Investor Relations.
Co‑create AI and diagnostic applications with the Agentic Analytics Product team.
Drive critical initiatives as both an executor and strategic partner in e‑Bay’s growth agenda.
Apply advanced analytics and AI techniques such as simulations and experimental diagnostics to uncover emerging customer behaviors.
Champion data‑driven strategies that improve customer experience and marketplace efficiency.
Supervise large data sets to identify trends, patterns, and leading indicators.
Translate complex analyses into clear communication for senior leadership and partners.
Cultivate a culture of curiosity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Stay ahead of advances in data science, machine learning, and AI to keep e‑Bay a leader in analytics.
What You Will Bring
Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in data science or analytics, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Consulting experience preferred.
Track record of using data science to drive significant business impact.
Strong understanding of predictive modeling and sophisticated diagnostics techniques.
Excellent problem‑solving skills for complex analytical challenges.
Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with big data technologies and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, SQL) and programming languages (Python, R, Java).
Pay Range:
$183,200 – $244,600. Base pay varies by location, skills, and experience. Total compensation may include a target bonus, restricted stock units, and a full range of medical, financial, and paid time‑off benefits.
If hired, employees will be in an “at‑will” position, and the company reserves the right to modify base salary and other compensation at any time.
