Procurement Category Manager
Base pay range: $84,000 – $133,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Develop extensive market knowledge and deep understanding of the assigned spend areas.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills. Extract key themes to develop creative solutions and craft concise messages.
Collaborate with internal business partners, clinical and technical teams to understand demand and supplier trends; build effective relationships, influence peers and key stakeholders, and build consensus.
Manage supplier relationships, including supplier performance (KPIs), capability development, cost and quality improvements for key suppliers and product categories.
Identify and document supplier risk items to develop mitigation strategies and plans.
Monitor compliance with DaVita’s product formularies and ensure contract terms are being met.
Balance multiple tasks and competing priorities simultaneously.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 5‑7 years of relevant supply‑chain/procurement experience, or an MBA with background in contract analysis and negotiation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact across departments and with supplier partners.
Experience leading and executing RFPs and competitive bidding processes.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint & Word; experience with Tableau is a plus.
