Selby Jennings is partnering with Corporate Development teams across San Francisco and the Silicon Valley targeting Corporate Development Associates or Corporate Development Managers for an H1 start. Base pay range: $130,000 - $175,000 per year. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience—talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Ideal candidates are located in or open to relocating to the Bay Area, and have M&A experience across Software or Hardware in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Corporate Development.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Market Analysis
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, emerging technologies, and potential acquisition targets.
Support development of long‑term growth strategies and inorganic initiatives.
Deal Sourcing & Evaluation
Build and maintain relationships with founders, investors, bankers, and advisors to source opportunities.
Evaluate strategic fit, financial performance, and operational synergies of potential targets.
Financial Modeling & Valuation
Develop detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and scenario planning for prospective deals.
Perform due diligence across financial, legal, and operational areas.
Transaction Execution
Assist in structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Finance, Legal, Product, HR) during deal execution and integration planning.
Post‑Merger Integration
Support integration planning and execution to ensure smooth transition and realization of synergies.
