Assistant Store Manager – Tailored Brands, Inc. Reports to: Store Manager. Partner with your Store Manager to support store team members to achieve sales performance expectations through active coaching, development of a selling environment, and operational excellence. This includes recruiting, hiring, training, and facilitating an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

Execute strategies to maximize growth and potential.

Create an engaged and inclusive store environment.

Elevate the customer experience through operational excellence.

Exceed customer expectations in all interactions.

Partner with Store Manager to lead staff, set clear performance expectations, and ensure training on sales, customer service, and operations.

Model company values and lead by example as an active coach.

Communicate priorities and sales‑driving information effectively.

Assist in recruiting store staff and promote diversity and inclusion.

Support the achievement of store business plans, including sales, customer service, and operational goals.

Develop game plans and drive execution to maximize sales.

Present opportunities with fact‑based information and recommendations and leverage data.

Drive business outreach opportunities and communicate leads to management.

Identify performance opportunities and develop plans to address issues.

Ensure schedule accuracy, proper staffing, and sufficient sales coverage.

Assist in training staff on internal operational functions.

Stay informed on corporate communication and initiatives.

Support implementation of store programs to increase efficiencies.

Contribute to an inclusive environment where opinions are valued.

Support learning and development and leverage training tools.

Provide motivational leadership and create a steady talent pipeline.

Conduct regular store meetings ensuring all team members are updated.

Assist with training on customer service expectations.

Help the manager lead the store to exceed customer expectations and achieve a high Net Promoter Score.

Use customer feedback to take actions and resolve concerns.

Ensure visual brand standards are met and marketing initiatives are executed.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of retail or sales experience.

Creative individual who demonstrates good judgement.

Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, strategic thinker.

Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrates active listening and problem‑solving skills.

Proven ability to train and develop high‑performing store teams.

Proficient in technology systems, applications, Microsoft Office, and video conferencing.

Ability to operate a computer and POS system.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for the majority of shift; frequently bend, squat, twist; lift up to 50 lbs.; climb ladder; distinguish fabric patterns and colors.

Pay Range $18.85 - $24.50 per hour.
