This role reports to the Vice President, Growth Strategy and is responsible for all aspects of planning and executing sales efforts for assigned market sectors, clients, and regions. The key contributions include aligning and attaining strategic growth goals, creating and ensuring highly functional and motivated teams, mastering the sales process, and effectively coaching the organization’s sales and relationship development. The position also owns the company’s first impression with new clients and may require up to 50% travel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop short- and long-term business development strategies to support overall business and organizational objectives; monitor progress and ensure achievement.
Provide direction and technical advice to operating management to identify and prioritize potential markets, customers, and business opportunities.
Identify and pursue new markets and business opportunities in alignment with strategic objectives.
Participate in the preparation and implementation of the organization’s business plan, including revenue forecasting, targeted markets and customers, and competitive analysis.
Develop and maintain target accounts that can generate large volumes of inquiries and profitable sales revenue, including building account plans for major clients.
Monitor target industries for changes that could increase or decrease inquiries and revenues.
Leverage existing customer relationships to provide opportunities for all applicable scopes of work offered by the company.
Make presentations to existing and prospective customers on the company’s products, services, and overall capabilities; entertain customers as needed.
Provide direct sales support and actively participate in closing major proposals, including final contract negotiations with the client.
Represent the company at industry trade shows, meetings, and events in support of business objectives.
Coordinate closely with marketing and business development personnel to ensure consistent marketing efforts.
Maintain the company’s high moral standards while adhering to the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
Preferred Education Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Experience
7–10 years of related experience.
Experience in Construction or Program Management Services, Consulting Services, Business Process Outsourcing, or Information Technology solutions, services, and markets, including knowledge of competitive offerings.
Proven track record managing sales pipelines, forecasting, and closing deals.
Ability to interface with and negotiate senior executives.
Physical Demands and Working Environment Work is performed mainly indoors and outdoors, with exposure to all types of weather and temperature conditions, and travel from site to site. Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; stand or sit for prolonged periods; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate weights; operate equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination; travel to other locations; and verbally communicate to exchange information. Vision: normal visual range with or without correction. Hearing: normal audio range with or without correction.
