Director, Market Access Analytics – Oncology
Regeneron is seeking a Director, Market Access Insights & Analytics – Oncology to join our team.
In This Role The Director will partner with Market Access and the Business Unit to develop and communicate actionable insights derived from secondary data analytics that shape market access, brand strategy, and tactics across different customer segments. The role involves designing and implementing analytics plans, informing business decisions, and building analytical solutions to support business opportunities. The Director will develop new analytics capabilities, build and socialize insights, and work cross‑functionally to support data‑driven decision making. Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of effective business partnership, business impact, and influence are essential. This position has no direct reports but will manage contractors, consultants, and vendors to complete projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement market access analytics plans and manage the budget.
Identify business needs and propose analytics approaches, translating complex business problems into data problems, models, and solutions.
Support ongoing and planned contracting‑strategy analytics such as analog assessment, deal/no‑deal, post‑deal analytics, patient flow analytics, simulations, and analog analytics.
Develop performance‑reporting strategy and streamline existing reporting.
Conduct strategic analytics including payer pathway analysis, account segmentation, and targeting.
Design and conduct patient affordability and reimbursement analytics, including landscape benchmarking, HUB analytics, co‑pay analytics, and patient out‑of‑pocket sensitivity modeling.
Diagnose performance, measure impact, and define success metrics based on strategic imperatives and business questions.
Monitor provider account access and conduct payer plan and provider analytics.
Analyze GPO and account‑level pull‑through analytics and identify opportunities based on access.
Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders across Market Access Analytics, the CBU (Oncology), and CSI&A, balancing project rigor, timelines, and influence.
Manage analytics suppliers, scope, execute, and analyze data for business implications.
Collaborate on specialty pharmacy analytics, inform data strategy, and ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and privacy requirements.
Required Qualifications
12+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience (or 10+ years for MBA/MS), with increasing accountability and experience with market‑leading brands; Oncology‑specific experience preferred.
Minimum BS/BA in a STEM‑related field (Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Marketing Research, etc.); advanced degree preferred.
Experience working with Oncology datasets, including prescription, sales, and claims/patient‑level data sets from sources such as IQVIA and Symphony.
Firm understanding of the Market Access landscape and ability to connect relationships between customers, channels, and business.
U.S. Buy and Bill or Medical Benefit Market Access experience required.
Technical proficiency and knowledge of U.S. drug reimbursement and access, including coverage, coding, and payment.
Experience with market access datasets such as FIA, LAAD, MMIT.
Experience coding in SQL, Python/PySpark, R, and/or SAS (BASE, STAT, SQL, Macros).
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, Oracle BI, Microstrategy, Cognos, Spotfire).
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to manipulate and extract insights from large longitudinal data sources such as claims and patient‑level datasets.
Expertise in managing and analyzing large secondary transactional databases.
Experience with data mining, descriptive analytics, statistical modeling, predictive modeling, opportunity assessment, and simulation.
Strong communication and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to present compelling reviews of analyses that integrate insights and business implications.
Salary Range (annually) $183,100.00 – $305,200.00
