Job Description
Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
Key Responsibilities
Build, mentor, and grow a world‑class engineering team focused on delivering essential products and services for both internal and external stakeholders.
Foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, continuous improvement, and inclusion.
Collaborate with product management, architects, and cross‑functional teams to define product vision, roadmap, and priorities.
Oversee the full software development lifecycle, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery of solutions.
Solve a broad spectrum of technical challenges related to scaling, security, efficiency, and automation by making robust architectural and customer‑centric design decisions.
Drive best practices in software engineering, including secure coding, automated testing, code review, and DevOps principles.
Ensure products and services meet the needs of internal teams, customers, and Oracle’s partner ecosystem.
Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
Lead hiring, performance management, and professional development for a diverse engineering team.
Ensure compliance with Oracle’s security, quality, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in software development, including 5+ years in technical leadership or management roles.
Proven experience building and scaling high‑performing engineering teams.
Strong track record of delivering large‑scale, enterprise software solutions (cloud experience strongly preferred).
Extensive experience in modern coding practices, application design, and cloud architectures.
Strong ability to lead and mentor junior developers.
Deep knowledge of modern development frameworks, languages, and tools (e.g., Python, C/C++, JavaScript, Cloud Platforms, CI/CD).
Experience working with multiple database technologies (relational and non‑relational).
Experience with containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Full‑stack development experience.
Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with Agile methodologies and distributed teams.
Strong problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑focused mindset.
Experience with open source technologies and methodologies.
Knowledge of Oracle products and ecosystems.
Experience working with both internal customers and external partners.
Experience in SaaS, cloud architectures, or platform engineering.
Strategic thinking skills.
Salary Range US: Hiring Range in USD from $141,200 – $338,500 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
