Automation Specialist
Base Pay: $53.17/hr - $58.79/hr (actual pay based on experience and skills).

Qualifications
PLC Platforms: Allen‑Bradley RSLogix / Studio 5000, B&R Automation Studio, Siemens TIA Portal (preferred experience with any combination)
Languages: Ladder Logic, Function Block, and Structured Text
Safety Standards: NFPA 79, SISTEMA, and Safety Automation Builder
Common Components: VFDs, Servo drives, Sensors, Industrial Networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus)
2–5 years of automation or control systems experience in industrial machinery, packaging, or process control.
Proficient in programming and troubleshooting Allen‑Bradley RSLogix 5000 / Studio 5000 (B&R and Siemens are a plus).
Knowledge of motion control systems; ability to set up servo motors, encoders, and PLC‑based loops.
Familiar with automation safety tools (e.g., NFPA 79, Safety Automation Builder, or SISTEMA).
Hands‑on, comfortable on the production floor doing I/O validation, motion tuning, and debug work.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; collaborates cross‑functionally with engineering and service teams.
What You’ll Do
Perform I/O checks, validate software, and ensure coordinated motion control between components.
Develop, modify, and implement PLC programs (Allen‑Bradley RS5000) and assist with motion control servo setup.
Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to ensure machines meet performance, functionality, and safety standards before shipment.
Support troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and control system issues onsite (light field work) and in‑house.
Collaborate with engineers to refine and document modifications, ensuring all changes meet NFPA 79 and industry safety standards.
Maintain clear technical documentation and assist with basic automation risk assessments using tools like SISTEMA.
Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members or technicians on automation and safety systems.
