Role Summary
As we scale globally, we’re looking for our first HR Business Partner (HRBP) based in the US to partner closely with our CRO and GTM leadership team. In this high‑impact role, you will help shape and scale our GTM organization with a focus on retention, performance, and culture. As our first local HRBP, you’ll ensure our people strategy directly fuels Mistral’s success in the US. You’ll own the full spectrum from designing scalable processes and fostering a high‑performance culture, to retaining top talent and solving real‑scale challenges in a fast‑moving environment. This is a unique opportunity to build HR from the ground up, playing an instrumental part in Mistral’s expansion and success in the US.
What you will do
Align HR with business goals and provide daily HR guidance
Consult with line management
Support a positive and productive work environment by addressing employee morale and concerns proactively
Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
Be Mistral's first culture advocate
Projects, policies and scalable processes
Create a talent retention strategy to foster long‑term engagement, especially for high‑performing talent
Identify skill gaps and training priorities, then design and implement scalable training programs
Create career paths for all functions within GTM
Design and implement a fair, transparent and motivating performance management process
Foster a culture of sustainable work life balance
Who you are Experience
Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
8+ years of progressive HR experience, most of which in a startup or high‑growth environment
Cross‑country experience, managing employee populations spread in different geographies, especially in the US, coupled with strong knowledge of US law & HR policy, employment regulations
Experience managing the employee lifecycle from onboarding to retention, and exit
Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals and drive results
Experience scaling teams from 100 to 500+ employees, including role leveling, structural changes or workforce planning
