At Wizards of the Coast, we connect people around the world through play and imagination. We’re looking for a Principal Business Analyst to help us make better, faster, and more confident decisions across our commercial, sales, and go-to-market teams. You’ll take on complex, undefined problems, partner to build the data and tools to solve them, and guide how we use analytics to understand performance and identify growth opportunities.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can see both the big picture and the details — designing scalable data solutions, leading analysis projects, and helping shape our long-term analytics strategy. You’ll partner with business leaders, engineers, and other analysts to ensure our teams have the insights they need to act effectively.
What You’ll Do
Lead large-scale analysis projects that support commercial, sales, and go-to-market strategies.
Design and optimize advanced SQL solutions for large datasets, often working with Snowflake and automated data pipelines.
Partner with data engineers and business intelligence teams to improve data quality and reliability.
Build clear, integrated dashboards and tools that help teams understand performance and make better decisions.
Translate business questions into measurable, data-driven strategies — balancing short-term needs with long-term goals.
Mentor and support other analysts, sharing best practices and helping the team grow.
Work directly with senior leaders to shape how analytics informs planning, forecasting, and execution. We value curiosity and initiative. We expect you to look for better ways to measure success, simplify processes, and help others make sense of complex information.
What You’ll Bring
10+ years of experience in business or data analysis, ideally supporting commercial, sales, or go-to-market teams.
Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Advanced SQL skills, including scalable and optimized query design.
Experience with Snowflake, dBT, ETL workflows, and data automation.
Strong understanding of data governance and quality management.
Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior leaders.
A track record of mentoring others and improving analytical practices across teams.
Preferred
Passion for Wizards of the Coasts brands (Magic: The Gathering and/or Dungeons & Dragons)
Experience with Salesforce integration and tools
We know that great analysts don’t just deliver reports — they help teams see what matters, ask better questions, and make decisions with confidence.
