Research Analyst — University of Chicago Pay Range : $25.71/yr – $33.28/yr (Hourly)

Department : SSD Center for Practical Wisdom: Staff and Temporary Employees, Department of Psychology.

Job Summary The position supports psychological research in the area of language impact as part of the APEX lab within the Center for Practical Wisdom. Responsibilities include routine assignments related to scientific research projects, ensuring compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulatory policies, analyzing solutions, writing reports, and assisting in drafting presentations. The project is funded by the Lily Endowment and partners with the Catholic Theological Union.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with scientists from psychology, religion, computer science, and other disciplines.

Work with human participants; assist with data cleaning, analysis, and management.

Write scientific reports and present findings to the Catholic Theological Union biannually and at scientific conferences.

Assist with pupillometry, EEG, and fMRI acquisition and imaging.

Maintain data files and database.

Follow established procedures or protocols and collaborate with other university labs.

Provide technical and administrative support for research projects.

Conduct literature reviews and assist with preparation of reports, manuscripts, and other documents.

Perform other related work as needed.

Qualifications Education : Minimum: college or university degree in a related field. Preferred: BA/BS or higher in cognitive neuroscience, psychology, or related area.

Knowledge of relevant scientific field.
