About the Role Engineering Supervisor

works under the Director of Engineering, managing day‑to‑day operations, supervising engineers, and ensuring high‑quality maintenance.

Core Functions

Adhere to Hyatt Hotels Corporation guidelines and core values to ensure the health, safety, and comfort of colleagues and guests.

Complete work orders and supervise repairs throughout the hotel.

Implement preventive maintenance schedules, policies, and rules.

Maintain logs on movement of stock items and tools and monitor distribution.

Inspect equipment, troubleshoot issues, and track meter readings.

Ensure engineers keep the shop clean, organized, and safe.

Assist Director of Engineering in supervising, training, and loss‑prevention.

Inspect, test, and certify emergency and life‑safety equipment per Hyatt standards.

Assist with major projects, vendor contracts, and scheduling services.

Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.

Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor.

Other duties as assigned.

Wage Information Hourly: $31.50–$33.50. Section includes signing bonus: $500 after 90 days and $500 after 180 days.

Qualifications

Desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment with refined verbal and written communication skills.

2–4 years previous hotel experience as a maintenance department supervisor or progressive maintenance responsibility.

Previous supervisory experience overseeing employees preferred.

Working knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, screening, locks, HVAC, boiler operations, and proper tool and chemical use.

Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred.

Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight and stand/walk for prolonged periods up to 8 hours per shift.
