As a Lab Analyst II you will work with the Sr. Lab Analyst and the department lead to receive training, use the QMS software to access and acknowledge training documents and work instructions. Provide basic/intermediate training to other lab personnel on analytical methods and practices when required.

Responsibilities

Follow standard procedures regarding sample preparation prior to instrumental analysis; this includes using rolling and cutting equipment, accurate weighing of samples, hot plate acid digestion, accurate dilutions, and other common laboratory procedures. Attention to detail is a key requirement.

Perform tests and record data for provided samples using techniques such as ICP‑OES, Metallography, GDMS, Tensile Testing, IGA (LECO), Tap Density, Hardness Testing, and SEM/EDX (and image analysis).

Handle and move bulk acids.

Proficient use of advanced Excel functions, LIMS (including maintenance of functions related to daily operations), SAP and other standard office software.

Requirements

Minimum high‑school diploma or GED with combined 8+ years of experience.

Preference for candidates with a two‑ or four‑year degree (preferably in a STEM field).

Minimum 4 years of relevant analytical experience required.

Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd Shift.

Pay Range $29.99‑$37.04

Export Compliance The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee or refugee, a national of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency.
