Job Description Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines is recruiting for a Senior Medical Science Liaison, Immunology, to be based in the Indianapolis, IN territory which includes Joliet, IL. The Sr. MSL is responsible for providing fair, balanced, objective scientific information and education to opinion leaders, health care professionals, and internal partners as required by scientific and business needs.
Responsibilities
Provide scientific information and education to healthcare providers and internal partners.
Build and maintain relationships with identified opinion leaders and healthcare professionals across the territory.
Develop and maintain field strategic plans and educational activities.
Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries in a timely manner and integrate scientific data, including real‑world evidence, into practice.
Execute proactive and reactive outreach plans in accordance with legal/HCC exceptions.
Conduct research initiatives, facilitate external-internal communication, and support clinical trials.
Lead at least one scientific or strategic Immunology project and identify educational gaps.
Participate in team calls, trainings, journal clubs, and scientific conferences.
Document medical insights and synthesize data for the MSL team and partners.
Perform administrative requirements such as expense reporting and activity documentation.
Provide regional and local support for sales training initiatives and improve field competencies.
Maintain compliance with regulatory, health‑care, and corporate policies.
Qualifications
PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, or PA; +3 years relevant therapeutic area clinical experience.
2+ years MSL experience, or 2+ years of relevant clinical, research or related pharma work experience.
Significant presentation experience.
Ability to travel up to 75‑80%, including overnight stays and weekend commitments.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record.
Reside within the assigned territory.
Preferred
Knowledge or experience in the relevant therapeutic area and/or Immunology.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and remote technologies.
Reside in or near Indianapolis, IN or Joliet, IL.

Compensation Base pay range: $137,000 to $235,750. Eligible for a company car through the fleet program and a performance bonus per company guidelines.

Sick time – 40 hours per calendar year (56 hours for Washington residents).
Holiday pay and floating holidays – 13 days per calendar year.
Work, personal and family time – up to 40 hours per calendar year.
