PeopleEQ is searching for an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our client in their Tiburon office. This position will be responsible for assisting and taking the lead on special projects, work closely with the property manager and a range of vendors. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, organized, experienced and capable of thriving in a fast‑paced environment.
Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Process and code vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Manage purchase orders, vendor statements, and payment runs
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
Collect all receipts for employee company credit cards and reconcile credit cards in a timely manner
Assist with month‑end closing procedures and reporting
File all 1099's
Maintain vendor files and ensure compliance with company policies
Assist in creating annual budgets for each property
Collaborate with asset manager, property manager, on‑site maintenance crews and other team members on AP‑related matters
Support the accounting team with special projects as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel – experience with Appfolio is a bonus
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced setting
Location Tiburon, CA (In‑Office Only 5 days a week)
