Tax Manager
As the Tax Manager, you will oversee and manage the tax compliance and planning process for our clients, ensuring accurate and timely filing of tax returns while providing strategic tax advice. This role plays a crucial part in helping clients navigate complex tax regulations and optimize their tax positions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and review the preparation of various tax returns including individual, corporate, partnership, estate, and trust returns.
Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and advising on potential tax implications of business decisions.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and stay updated on changes in tax laws.
Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and training on tax matters.
Collaborate with clients and other professionals to develop comprehensive financial planning strategies.
Conduct research on tax issues and prepare technical memorandums to support tax positions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field desired but not required.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
Strong knowledge of tax regulations, compliance, and planning strategies.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in financial planning and knowledge of estate and trust taxation is a plus.
