What you’ll do:
Lead end‑to‑end projects leveraging modern cloud, data, and analytics technologies to solve complex business problems
Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and architectures using Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure or GCP and related tools to ensure reliable, scalable, and high‑performance data processing
Develop data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and integration frameworks supporting analytics, AI/ML, and application development initiatives
Implement best practices for data quality, governance, and automation across the data lifecycle
Provide technology and architecture expertise to maximize value for clients and internal teams
Drive strong delivery methodology to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction
Ensure technology solutions are scalable, resilient, and optimized for performance and cost
Collaborate with ZS experts to drive innovation and minimize project risks
Lead, coach, and mentor project team members for continuous learning and professional growth
Demonstrate expertise, facilitation, and strong interpersonal skills in both internal and client interactions
Bring structure to unstructured work for developing business cases with clients
Apply a deep understanding of the Health Plan industry to inform data solutions, business processes, and technology implementation strategies
Assist ZS Leadership with business case development, innovation, thought leadership, and team initiatives
What you’ll bring:
Hands‑on experience (5+ years) in Databricks and AWS cloud services
Certified AWS and Databricks Architect or developer
Technical Requirements:
Databricks: Architect/developer certification; experience with Autoloader, Delta Live Tables (DLT) pipelines, Expectations Framework, and Databricks Asset Bundles
Cloud: Architect or developer certification; hands‑on experience with AWS services like S3, EC2, ECS, EKS, EMR, Aurora, Lambda, CDK, AWS AppSync, and Amplify or equivalent experience with Azure or GCP services.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, Bash or Java
DevOps: Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CDK, and Terraform
Web Application Development: Experience with React or AngularJS, TypeScript, REST APIs, and GraphQL
Containerization: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Additional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, IT or a related field with academic excellence
5+ years of consulting experience leading large‑scale technology implementations
5+ years of hands‑on development experience in data engineering—batch as well as streaming architecture pattern, devops/MLops
Preference for candidates with prior Health Plan industry experience and a solid understanding of payer data models, analytics workflows, and healthcare operations
Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences
Significant supervisory, coaching, and hands‑on project management skills
Extensive experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
Deep knowledge of data engineering, enterprise data management, advanced analytics, process automation, and application development
Familiarity with industry‑standard products and platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Salesforce, Power BI, and other cloud technologies
Experience in delivering projects using agile methodologies
