The Industry Engagement Manager, TalentHub will lead statewide efforts to engage and support Utah’s industry partners in adopting and utilizing TalentHub, the Talent Ready Utah, Utah System of Higher Education’s (USHE) workforce alignment and talent‑matching platform. This position will play a key role in connecting employers with higher education institutions, students, and workforce programs to strengthen Utah’s education‑to‑employment pipeline.

The manager will serve as the primary liaison to employers and industry associations, helping them understand and leverage TalentHub’s tools to post opportunities, identify skilled talent, and align with emerging workforce needs. The position requires strong relationship management, communication, and project coordination skills to ensure smooth implementation, high partner adoption, and measurable impact across sectors.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive connector, capable of building partnerships between business, industry, and higher education to advance Utah’s talent development goals.

This position is funded via one‑time legislative funds through the Talent Ready Utah initiative, with employment continuing through

June 30, 2028

Responsibilities

Lead statewide employer onboarding and engagement efforts for TalentHub, ensuring high‑value utilization by industry partners.

Serve as the primary liaison to employers, industry associations, and chambers of commerce for all TalentHub‑related activities.

Develop and execute outreach strategies to increase employer awareness and participation across targeted sectors.

Coordinate with higher education partners to align TalentHub with existing academic and workforce programs.

Support employers in posting opportunities, accessing data, and using TalentHub to identify skilled talent.

Gather and analyze industry feedback to inform ongoing TalentHub platform improvements.

Collaborate with USHE’s communications and technology teams to enhance TalentHub visibility and usability.

Establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders including state agencies, industry councils, and employer networks.

Provide training and technical assistance to employers and institutional users as needed.

Track, manage, and report on key employer engagement KPIs, including outreach volume, onboarding conversions, TalentHub utilization, and employer outcomes such as internship placements. Develop and maintain a structured KPI dashboard to monitor progress and drive continuous improvement.

Utilize Salesforce to track employer engagement, monitor partnership activity, and generate reports supporting TalentHub implementation and industry outreach metrics.

Represent Talent Ready Utah at conferences, convenings, and industry events to promote TalentHub and workforce partnerships.

Contribute to the design of TalentHub dashboards, reports, and analytics that support data‑driven workforce development decisions.

Provide recommendations for program expansion and sustainability based on feedback, usage data, and state workforce priorities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Equivalency Statement:

One year of education can be substituted for one year of related work experience.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, education, workforce development, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

Four years of relevant experience in employer engagement, workforce development, business relations, or project management.

Experience with Salesforce or comparable customer relationship management (CRM) platforms to manage employer engagement, track interactions, and support data‑driven decision‑making.

Experience working with higher education institutions, industry associations, chambers of commerce, or economic development organizations is highly desirable.

Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.

Familiarity with digital platforms for workforce, career, or education management preferred.

Knowledge of Utah’s workforce ecosystem, key industry sectors, and higher education system a plus.
