Finance Manager – Tech-Focused Investment Platform
Location:
Boston, MA (Hybrid: 3 days in-office / 2 remote)
Compensation:
~$178K–$205K total package (Base $130K–$150K + Bonus + Profit Sharing)

Oversight of a Senior Associate; collaboration across investment, valuation, operations, and IR teams
The Opportunity
We are seeking a
Finance Manager
to lead fund accounting oversight, investor reporting, valuations support, and operational finance for the firm’s technology-focused investment funds (currently three vehicles). This role is highly visible, cross‑functional, and ideal for someone who enjoys variety, complexity, and building process excellence.
You will own the review and validation of financial statements prepared by a third‑party fund administrator, coordinate annual audits, and partner closely with deal teams and Investor Relations.
This is one of the most attractive finance seats at the firm—broad exposure, valuation involvement, direct visibility to senior leadership, and material impact across a fast‑scaling platform.
Key Responsibilities
Quarterly NAV & Investor Reporting:
Review NAV packages and capital statements; validate management fee and carry calculations.
Financial Statements:
Oversee quarterly financials prepared by the fund administrator.
Audit Management:
Lead year‑end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
Cash & Operations:
Monitor cash availability, fund flows, and operational processes handled by the administrator.
Valuations:
Collaborate with deal teams and CFO on quarterly valuation work; prepare summaries for the Valuation Committee.
Portfolio Analysis:
Review and analyze portfolio company financials for quarterly portfolio reviews.
Investor Relations:
Support preparation of fundraising and LP reporting materials.
Compliance:
Ensure activities align with partnership agreements and internal controls.
Projects:
Drive process improvements, reporting automation, and departmental initiatives.
Leadership:
Oversee a Senior Associate and act as a key liaison across the investment and operations ecosystem.
Qualifications
8–10 years
of experience within an Investment Advisor, private equity, asset management, or public accounting environment
Blend of
public and private
experience strongly preferred
Strong accounting, fund reporting, and/or valuation exposure
Exceptional organizational and project management skills
CPA or CFA
(or equivalent) strongly preferred
