Tax Manager position at a full-service accounting firm located in Sacramento, CA.
Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofit organizations.
Lead tax planning and consulting engagements, providing proactive strategies to help clients minimize tax liabilities and achieve their financial goals.
Supervise, mentor, and train tax staff and seniors, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
Maintain and build strong client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service.
Stay current with evolving tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Assist with firm‑wide initiatives, workflow optimization, and business development efforts.
Qualifications
CPA license required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation preferred.
6+ years of progressive public accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience with tax preparation and research software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or similar platforms).
