Manning Personnel Group, Inc. is working with a Real Estate firm to seek an Accounting Associate. The Accounting Associate is responsible for daily processing of invoices and payables, vendor maintenance, reconciliations, and corporate credit card coding.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilizing the firm's automated AP program.
Obtain and organize appropriate invoice authorizations, coding, and approvals for payment.
Review and verify the accuracy of invoice information to ensure validity and matching of transactions.
Prepare check registers and payment files on a weekly basis.
Research and reconcile invoice discrepancies and problems. Perform journal entries to correct discrepancies when necessary.
Participate in corporate card reconciliations: ensure proper coding to the GL, follow up on tardy expense reports, process requests for new cards, and act as primary person for basic troubleshooting.
Support the integrity of the Accounts Payable sub-ledger including an updated and accurate vendor database complete with Form W9’s for each vendor.
Build relationships with vendors and internal constituencies to ensure compliance with School policies and invoice due dates.
Process 1099’s on an annual basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree with focus in accounting or business preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and working with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
Must be well organized with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
