Role Summary We are seeking a skilled
Hardware Design Engineer
to support mission‑critical programs involving
weapons systems and navigation hardware . This role will contribute to high‑reliability electrical hardware development across project sites in Colorado (CO) and Minnesota (MN). The ideal candidate will have strong experience in schematic design, high‑speed digital hardware, FPGA interfacing, and hands‑on lab validation.
Responsibilities
Design and develop high‑speed digital circuit cards and mission‑critical hardware for weapons and navigation systems.
Create and maintain schematics and PCB layouts, collaborating with layout engineers and using tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition (other CAD tool experience considered).
Integrate FPGAs, DDR memory interfaces (DDR3, DDR4, LPDDR4), and digital communication interfaces (I²C, SPI, SDIO).
Perform Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis to ensure robust, reliable hardware performance.
Participate in hardware bring‑up, troubleshooting, and validation using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
Work with cross‑functional teams (systems, firmware, mechanical, test) to ensure hardware meets performance, environmental, and reliability requirements.
Support documentation, design reviews, and configuration control for mission‑critical hardware.
