Quality Controls, Inc. is a representative and stocking distributor of flow control equipment, process equipment and instrumentation. Founded in 1992, we supply valves, gates, actuators, and instrumentation to a broad customer base.
We are hiring an Outside Sales Specialist to cover the Metro DC, Maryland, Delaware territory. The role involves establishing and maintaining relationships with municipalities, consulting engineers, local general contractors, and end‑users in the municipal and industrial markets.
Responsibilities
Expand existing relationships and build new accounts with end users, contractors, and engineers.
Provide professional product promotion, selection support, and follow‑up to ensure project success and maximize sales revenue.
Travel within the assigned sales territory and set up meetings, product promotion events, and relationship‑building activities.
Attend product training sessions and participate in local industry associations and trade shows.
Provide monthly sales reporting, forecasting, and insights to the bid activity.
Work with inside sales staff to manage project support and coordination.
Qualifications
3+ years of sales experience, preferably in water/wastewater/industrial valve sales.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Valid US driver’s license; ability to travel up to 20% overnight.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent military experience with 4+ years professional experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and familiarity with CRM systems.
Compensation
Base salary $80,000–$120,000 depending on experience.
Base salary plus commission.
Location The position requires residence in the Metro DC or Maryland area.
