Purpose of the Position The Chief Experience Officer is responsible for the strategic planning and oversight of patient experience and staff engagement initiatives, operations, and all related programs, policies, and procedures. They perform administrative and operational functions that ensure integration and alignment of patient experience strategies and priorities with the System’s mission, values, and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Patient Experience Council in developing initiatives and establishing patient and employee satisfaction goals; provide leadership to all levels of management.

Partner with key stakeholders and define strategic direction and operational plan for advancing patient experience and staff engagement programs.

Serve as principal advisor and key resource on all matters pertaining to patient experience and employee engagement, providing consultation and coaching on evidence‑based practices.

Conduct ongoing review of existing initiatives to identify barriers and opportunities for improvement.

Collect and analyze patient and employee experience data, maintaining database and reporting.

Deliver on strategic plan initiatives using surveys and analytics; guide data collection and communication.

Promote an inclusive environment and design strategies that ensure staff understand and address the needs of the diverse community served.

Assist in the development of training programs and provide orientation, training, and guidance to staff.

Foster a culture of accountability and service excellence by setting performance standards and providing constructive feedback.

Prepare and participate in the development of fiscal budgets and monitor related expenses.

Develop and maintain partnerships with industry, community, academic, and professional organizations.

Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities and training.

Ensure ongoing compliance with policies, national standards, and regulatory requirements.

Perform other related duties as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Relations, or an approved related program, and three (3) years of paid full‑time progressively responsible experience in patient and employee experience, engagement, or satisfaction programs, with at least two (2) years in a responsible administrative, managerial, or supervisory capacity; or

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the above disciplines, and five (5) years of experience as described above, with at least three (3) years in a responsible administrative, managerial, or supervisory capacity; or

Satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. All candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
