The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related matters for our organization. This includes managing tax compliance, planning, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax management and possess CPA and EA certifications.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee tax compliance for the organization, including federal, state, and local taxes.
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the organization's tax liabilities.
Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax returns and payments.
Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate any potential impact to the organization.
Review and analyze financial statements to identify potential tax savings opportunities.
Manage relationships with external tax advisors and authorities.
Collaborate with other departments to provide tax guidance and support on various business initiatives.
Maintain and update tax records and documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA and EA certifications are required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Experience working with tax software and financial systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Competitive Bay Area salary. Salary range: $140,000.00 to $180,000. The pay range reflects the San Francisco Bay Area. Compensation will be adjusted for each candidate based on their geographic location.
