A well-established professional services organization in Boston is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations including financial reporting, billing, accounts payable, and process optimization. This role leads a small team and plays a key part in budgeting, audit support, and financial analysis for firm leadership.
Responsibilities
Drive monthly and annual financial reporting and variance analysis
Lead, mentor, and support AP, billing, and accounting staff
Manage cash reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls
Partner with leadership on budgeting and key financial metrics
Support the annual audit and ensure compliance with internal + regulatory standards
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency across accounting processes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (CPA a plus)
7+ years of accounting experience, including team leadership
Strong GAAP and budgeting knowledge
Experience with Elite 3E or similar legal financial systems
