About the Role We’re looking for a

visionary technical leader

to shape the future of our global network infrastructure. As the

Managing Network Principal , you’ll lead a talented team responsible for building and scaling secure, high‑performance networks that power our digital medical products. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with strategic foresight to drive innovation, automation, and compliance across on‑premises and multi‑cloud environments.

Lead & Inspire

Build, mentor, and empower a high‑performing Network Engineering and Operations team.

Define and deliver the long‑term roadmap for network automation, performance, and reliability.

Champion innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Manage vendors, contracts, and budgets to support strategic growth.

Architect & Evolve

Design and deploy enterprise‑grade network solutions across engineering, QA, DevOps, security, and data environments.

Provide expert consultation on network architecture, scalability, and security design.

Automate & Optimize

Lead the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD.

Automate network operations to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.

Oversee lifecycle management of firewalls, load balancers, proxies, routers, and switches across on‑prem and cloud platforms.

Connect the Clouds

Design and manage secure hybrid networking across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Ensure performance, standardization, and compliance in all cloud configurations.

Monitor & Protect

Implement observability tools (Thousand Eyes, Kentik, SolarWinds, Prometheus) for complete visibility across the network.

Ensure top‑tier performance, alerting, and incident response.

Partner with InfoSec and Compliance to uphold HIPAA, FDA, FIPS 140‑2, and GxP standards.

Drive Excellence

Define and track KPIs for uptime, reliability, and response metrics.

Lead root cause analyses and continuous improvement for all network events.

What You Bring Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field required.

Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in network engineering and IT infrastructure, with at least 3–5 years leading technical teams in a regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical devices).

Demonstrated experience architecting and managing enterprise and cloud networks in compliance with FDA, HIPAA, and GxP requirements.

Expertise in network automation (IaC), observability, and security practices.

Certifications (Preferred)

Cisco: CCNP, CCIE

Cloud: AWS/GCP/Azure Networking Specialty

Security: CISSP

Project/Process: PMP, ITIL Foundation

Technical Proficiency

Deep knowledge of enterprise networking (routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

Hands‑on experience with firewalls (Cisco Firepower), load balancers (Citrix Netscaler, F5), proxies, and VPNs.

Advanced skills in AWS, GCP, Azure networking services.

Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, etc.).

Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (FIPS 140‑2, GxP, FDA validation).

Leadership & Communication

Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing technical teams.

Track record of managing cross‑functional projects and driving strategic outcomes.

Excellent communication, collaboration, documentation, and visual design abilities.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.

We provide market‑competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target compensation ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1 $200,000 - $300,000

Base Salary Range Region 2 $170,000 - $255,000

Shift Day

Workplace Type Set Schedule – This job will be onsite weekly. The percentage of onsite work will be defined by the leader.
