We seek a Senior Principal Systems Engineer – Continuous Integration/Development (CI/CD) Product Owner to lead the pipeline and tools team for one of our premier programs. The candidate will work with a cross‑disciplinary team of engineers, owning the CI/CD infrastructure, roadmap, backlog, and sprint execution, while supporting readiness reviews, design reviews, and presentations to customers and senior program management.
Responsibilities
Oversee and provide team leadership and ownership of the CI/CD pipeline
Maintain and execute the CI/CD roadmap
Collaborate with the scrum master to plan and execute 3‑month program increments
Support and attend technical reviews and interchanges in support of the program
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis, including preparing and presenting technical briefs
Collaborate with fellow engineers to drive solutions to closure
Work in an Agile program environment
Qualifications – You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
Experience with developing and maintaining Python scripting, Ansible, Jenkins CI/CD pipeline, Git, RHEL, Jira, and/or Artifactory
Experience with Agile and/or DevSecOps development methods
Technical leadership experience
Development experience on a government contract
Experience with systems engineering
Qualifications – Preferable
Experience determining and developing approaches to solutions with minimal supervision
Experience with automation techniques and modern software factory processes
Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
Good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
Test automation experience (Cucumber, Gherkin, Zypher)
Experience with Java, C++, or Python
Experience with Linux operating system
Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
Location Onsite – Aurora, CO (Denver area)
Security Clearance TS/SCI without Polygraph; active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance required. U.S. citizenship is required.
Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $124,000 – $250,000 USD. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Details vary by business unit.
