We are looking for an AVP IT Business Partner – Applications who will act as the key liaison between IT and the business, lead the applications portfolio, and drive technology solutions that improve efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction. The role is based in our Nashville, TN office on a hybrid basis.

What You Will Do: Business Engagement & Support

Serve as the primary IT liaison for assigned business units, building strong relationships with stakeholders.

Understand business processes and day‑to‑day challenges to identify technology needs and improvement opportunities.

Assist in the development of business requirements, user stories and functional specifications for IT solutions.

Facilitate regular touchpoints with business units to discuss IT service performance, upcoming initiatives and pain points.

Lead a small team of technologists to effectively manage, deliver and support an applications portfolio aligned to business needs and strategy.

Partner with IT teams to ensure business requirements are clearly communicated, prioritised and delivered effectively.

Support project managers and technical teams during project execution to align outcomes with business expectations.

Monitor IT service performance and escalates issues when service levels are not met.

Help coordinate user acceptance testing, training and deployment activities for new solutions.

Effectively oversee and manage the relevant controls environment applicable to the applications portfolio.

Communication & Relationship Management

Translate technical concepts into business‑friendly language and ensure clear communication across stakeholders.

Provide updates to business units on IT initiatives, status reports and issue resolution.

Advocate for business needs within IT while maintaining alignment with enterprise standards and governance.

Gather feedback from users and business leaders to identify areas for process or service improvement.

Partner with IT leadership to recommend and operationalise enhancements that increase efficiency, reduce manual work or improve customer experience.

Stay aware of IT capabilities and tools to proactively suggest solutions that meet evolving business needs.

What You Will Have:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business or a related field.

7+ years of experience in IT, business analysis or IT service delivery.

Familiarity with ITIL or IT service management frameworks.

Strong understanding of business processes and ability to link them to technology solutions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.

Experience in requirements gathering, documentation and supporting IT project delivery.

Analyzes issues, proposes solutions and supports implementation.

Effectively translates between technical and business perspectives.

Base Salary Range: $155,000 USD – $170,000 USD. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and a generous benefits package.
