About the role The Senior Product Manager II at ShipStation is responsible for understanding the business needs and leading ShipStation product initiatives from inception to execution. The Senior Product Manager II must create value propositions that justify investment in features and improvements and have the ability to articulate this value across each stakeholder groups.
They are responsible for understanding users and their daily work. Building on empathy, the Senior Product Manager II will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, analysts, data scientists, senior management, customers, partners, and other cross‑functional members to propose, ship, and refine delightful products while achieving business objectives. The Senior Product Manager II will leverage prior experience and deep understanding of customer needs to create the best fulfillment experience for ShipStation merchants and partners.
This position is
hybrid (3 days per week in office)
and is located in
Austin, Texas.
About the team The ShipStation Product team is a business and technology organization that drives product vision and direction. They meet senior leadership to shape future roadmap updates, create requirements documents describing those updates, and work closely with technology teams to ensure correct implementation. The Product team interfaces with every department, customers, and stakeholders.
What will you be doing?
Own, manage, and prioritize the backlog of initiatives, features, and bugs based on ROI, strategy, and dependencies.
Manage the product roadmap for Shipping and Automation.
Advocate for features that will accomplish business goals.
Partner with product marketing on go‑to‑market strategy and launch of features and initiatives.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with all development and business stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and adoption.
Monitor ongoing performance of features and act as point of contact for any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
React and adapt to adoption and revenue metrics to drive product success.
Translate vision and strategy into clear value propositions to create product requirements and actionable specifications.
Create wireframes and specifications.
Gather business and technical requirements from external and internal stakeholders.
Advocate for the customer and improve the user experience.
Conduct competitive analysis and monitor industry trends.
Determine product market fit and ROI of new features.
Manage numerous projects from inception through launch.
Author corresponding Knowledge Base articles and Help documentation.
Establish user personas and flows.
What are we looking for?
Experience launching products that result in growth, engagement, and retention.
Professional experience with supply chain, eCommerce, shipping carriers, WMS, IMS, 3PL, or dropshipping is highly preferred.
B2B SaaS product experience is preferred.
Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Eight or more years of relevant product management experience.
