Position Overview The Ohio State University Division of Cardiovascular Medicine seeks a board‑certified or board‑eligible cardio‑oncologist at associate professor or professor rank, with an extramurally funded clinical or translational research program, to direct the Cardio‑Oncology Section. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership in both clinical care and research initiatives, focusing on the mechanisms underlying cardiovascular toxicity of oncologic treatments, advancing preventative care, and managing cardiovascular complications from therapy.
Responsibilities
Expand outpatient and inpatient consultative services in routine and complex cardio‑oncology care at the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital, the James Cancer Hospital, and the Solove Research Institute.
Lead and advance cardio‑oncology research initiatives, focusing on mechanisms of cardiovascular toxicity, preventive strategies, and treatment of cardiovascular complications.
Mentor junior faculty and trainees in clinical practice and research.
Requirements
Board eligible or certified cardio‑oncology physician.
Successful completion of a U.S.‑accredited cardiology fellowship.
Eligibility for an Ohio medical license.
Clinical and extramurally funded research experience desirable.
Academic appointment eligibility at Ohio State University; rank and salary commensurate with training and experience.
