Responsibilities

Write scalable web application code with the utmost attention to detail, inclusive of accessibility, performance, scalability, and security.

Build and maintain effective internal and external relationships essential to delivering outstanding software.

Leverage your technical leadership to mentor junior engineers and apply wisdom to solve architectural and implementation challenges.

Use industry trends to make the best technology choices and strategic decisions.

Tackle vague customer problems and solve them end to end with teamwork and accountability.

Lead the gathering of functional requirements, draft technical specifications, and conduct project & test planning.

Serve as technical subject‑matter expert: mentor team members, demonstrate expertise, and lead a small group on complex programming and design problems.

Spend roughly 50–70 % of time on hands‑on coding.

Generate technical documentation to communicate architectural and design options, and educate development teams and business users.

Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre‑production, production, and post‑release patches.

Work cross‑functionally with product management, QA, design, and business units to drive forward results.

Demonstrate a passion for developing well‑architected, elegant web and/or mobile apps.

Work in Agile environments such as SCRUM or Extreme Programming.

Qualifications

8+ years experience developing high‑volume web applications using Java.

Expert‑level knowledge of the Spring framework.

2+ years experience with Amazon Web Services.

4+ years experience with React.

Experience developing a public‑facing cloud app at scale, with expertise in all aspects of the Web SDLC (design, implementation, deployment, operations).

Proficiency in full‑stack architecture & design that serves millions of users.

Strong knowledge of industry best practices for such applications.

Experience building scalable applications using AWS.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or commensurate experience and knowledge.

Excellent verbal, written, and organizational communication skills.

Strong leadership experience: leading meetings, presenting, being a technical go‑to person, and leading cross‑functional initiatives.

Ability to build strong teams—set and evangelize vision, facilitate leadership, attract and retain key talent.

Compensation and Benefits Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay‑for‑performance rewards approach. This position is eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. The expected base pay range is $127,100–$203,400, based on factors such as job knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. Intuit regularly conducts fair‑pay comparison analyses across categories of ethnicity and gender.
