Overview The Virtual Expert Platform (VEP) team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help deliver innovative, full‑stack experiences for TurboTax and QuickBooks Live. This technical leader will have true technical depth, business acumen, and a desire to create delight in every customer experience. S/he will have a passion for driving technical product direction, technology blueprint, leading and inspiring cross‑functional teams, and influencing executives as well as engineers. Designing and building platform solutions that allow teams across Intuit to release independently while bringing together a cohesive experience into our customer‑facing applications is key to this role. A strong understanding of large‑scale system design is expected. This leader is expected to innovate and enable applications that are highly interactive, fast and can scale to billions of interactions.
Responsibilities
Drive end‑to‑end architecture across Intuit’s product offerings
Lead the technology evolution of a high‑volume full‑stack web application, including data, analytics, productivity, and tools
Integrate advanced AI techniques into customer‑facing applications
Mentor others in development technologies, tools, and processes
Present your own designs to internal and external groups, review designs of others
Participate in industry conferences and public speaking opportunities at technology and business conferences
Inspire innovation and deliver quality at speed across offerings and platform
Partner with engineering leaders across Intuit to identify areas across people, process, and technology to dramatically improve velocity
Qualifications
10+ years of industry experience in the software product industry with senior architecture/software development roles
Hands‑on AI experience, driving strategy and implementation across multiple teams
Proficient in full‑stack architecture & design that serve millions of users
Expertise in developing & designing customer‑facing web applications using the latest full‑stack technologies including Java and React
Experience in leveraging Amazon Web Services for building scalable applications
Understanding of industry‑leading technology/solutions in big data and machine learning
Experience in making successful trade‑offs that balance the short‑ and long‑term product goals
Partner with the engineering directors to build strong engineering teams
Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent work experience
Ability to lead complex change in an organization by articulating a clear case for change and then gaining shared vision with employees through effective, frequent and timely communication
Ability to apply performance management rigor… hire, mentor, coach and develop directs and other high‑potential team members to be the best that they can be
High energy, self‑starter with a positive mindset and a "can do" attitude
Excellent communication and presentation skills
