General Manager – Jacksonville Hilton Garden Inn Remington Hospitality seeks a General Manager to oversee the full operations of the Jacksonville Hilton Garden Inn.

Position Summary The General Manager is responsible for the complete operation of the hotel and all outlets, including hotel operations, food and beverage, sales, engineering, human resources, and accounting. The General Manager is expected to meet all company standards and lead the five Key Drivers identified by the management company.

Core Responsibilities

Practice a culture of guest service in all you do; promote courtesy, goodwill, and a positive attitude in each encounter.

Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, maintaining positive relations at all times.

Resolve guest complaints, ensuring satisfaction in each interaction.

Coordinate special programs, functions, and incentives to improve guest service.

Work in a cooperative and friendly manner with fellow associates.

Effectively lead the Executive Committee to reach property goals.

Develop and assure achievement of hotel revenues and profits, utilizing forecasting, P&L management, and RevPAR.

Ensure the property is compliant in all departments, growing the business year over year.

Maintain product quality to support future bookings of room nights, banquet sales, and food & beverage, achieving increasing pricing goals as warranted.

Coach and develop leaders to exceed performance expectations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or a related business field (preferred).

Minimum three years of experience in Rooms and/or Food & Beverage functions.

Strong verbal and written business communication skills.

Strong presentation abilities and capability to lead teams at all levels.

Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

High work ethic and self‑initiative.

Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

Some travel may be required.

Regular attendance according to established guidelines.

Proven record of commitment and professionalism in a 24‑hour, 7‑day operation.

Professional image as perceived by subordinates, peers, superiors, guests, and the community.

Basic computational ability.

Focus and maintain attention to tasks, completing work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions.

Maintain excellent relationships with staff and preserve confidentiality at all times.

Maintain calm and professional demeanor in high‑pressure situations.

Ability to converse calmly with upset associates, superiors, and guests in intense emotional situations.

Ability to participate in and lead departmental and/or hotel team meetings.
