Chief Executive Officer
JK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with a mission-driven, pediatric-focused nonprofit organization in search of a Chief Executive Officer to join its team! This is a unique opportunity for a strategic and collaborative leader to guide a growing organization committed to serving children with complex medical needs.
This organization is New York State’s only Pediatric Complex Care Learning Center. It provides award-winning, center-based programs designed to support children from hospital discharge through their early developmental years until kindergarten. With a deeply compassionate and skilled interdisciplinary team, the organization delivers early education, special education services, therapy, and nursing care in a nurturing, enriching environment.
Base Pay Range $175,000 per year – $200,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of a long-term strategic plan aligned with the organization's mission.
Provide visionary leadership and build a strong, mission-driven culture.
Oversee daily operations, including programming, HR, finance, marketing, fundraising, and compliance.
Ensure legal, regulatory, and programmatic compliance across all functions.
Drive fundraising efforts, including oversight of grants and capital campaigns.
Act as the organization's primary spokesperson and liaison to families, partners, and the broader community.
Build and maintain relationships with government, nonprofit, healthcare, and community leaders.
Partner closely with the Board of Directors, offering guidance on governance, strategy, and organizational performance.
Support Board development and transparent communication.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred (e.g., MBA, MPA, Healthcare Administration).
Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience, ideally within early childhood, nonprofit, or healthcare settings.
Demonstrated success in strategic planning, financial oversight, and fundraising.
Strong experience navigating compliance in a regulated environment.
Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire teams.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Understanding of OCFS, OPWDD, pediatric healthcare, or early education systems a plus.
Technology proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
Passion for serving children with complex medical needs and their families.
Salary Range $175,000 – $200,000.
