Overview LensCrafters, part of EssilorLuxottica, blends state‑of‑the‑art technology with a personal approach to eye care. The Licensed Team Lead delivers outstanding customer service, ensures the store meets optical and lab process standards, and fosters a safe and efficient working environment.
General Function The Licensed Team Lead creates exceptional value for customers and patients by delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring delight, and achieving store success through management of key optical and lab processes.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the LensCrafters team provides unsurpassed customer service and product knowledge.
Assist customers with selections, provide recommendations, and support sales associates.
Serve as a responsible alternate store key holder.
Apply optic expertise and product knowledge on lens choices, adjust and repair eyewear, and dispense eyewear.
Perform accurate digital measurements.
When applicable: custom fit glasses, place prescription in lenses, support associates’ knowledge and skills, ensure eyewear meets standards, maintain a safe environment, and maintain lab tools and systems.
Basic Qualifications
HS diploma/GED.
Current and valid state Opticianry license.
Strong optical and retail experience.
Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise.
Strong communicator, listener, and interpersonal skills.
Basic math, sales, and problem‑solving skills.
Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators.
Leadership and training experience.
Experience with edging and mounting.
Basic optics knowledge and optical measurement experience.
Preferred Qualifications
State licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO certification in non‑licensed states.
LensCrafters Final Eyewear Inspector certification.
LensCrafters Quality, Fitting & Adjusting Program certification.
Optical machinery/instruments experience.
Customer service experience.
AccuFit Digital Measurement System certification.
Knowledge of current store merchandise and lens options.
Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $25.69 - $38.27 per hour.
Employee pay is determined by geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage. Additional bonuses or commissions may be offered. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off, vacation, and employee discounts.
