Private Equity/M&A Attorney (4-5 yrs) – Am Law 50 Firm About the Position Our client, an international law firm renowned for its market‑leading work with tech and start‑up clients, is actively seeking a private equity and M&A attorney to join its practice in Chicago. This world‑class transactional team has over 7,000 private company clients and a long history of representing financial sponsors, high‑growth companies and founders in a range of industries, including software, healthcare/health services, fintech, edtech, telecom, aerospace, defense and government.

Responsibilities

Draft and negotiate purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements and other ancillary transaction documents

Handle day‑to‑day requirements of private equity fund and portfolio company clients

Required Qualifications

4‑5 years of large law firm private equity and M&A experience

Experience working with private equity sponsors

Strong academic credentials

Location Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation Base salary: $310,000 – $365,000 per year.
