Role Overview – Partner We are hiring a
Partner
to manage client relationships and initiate high-value executive searches within our global AI and technology practice. As a Partner, you will own relationships with founders, CEOs, boards, and investors, and you will lead search assignments for roles such as Chief AI Officer, CTO, Chief Product Officer, Chief Scientist, CRO, and key board directors.
The role combines business development, client advisory, market intelligence, and leadership of multi-level search teams. It is designed for an executive who wants to operate at the heart of AI leadership, capital, and company-building.
Key Responsibilities Client Leadership and Business Development
Build and grow a portfolio of client relationships across AI-native companies, scaled technology businesses, and venture or private-equity investors.
Originate retained executive search mandates through disciplined outreach, referrals, and high-quality delivery on existing assignments.
Advise clients on leadership architecture, succession planning, role definition, and market positioning for senior roles.
Search Strategy and Delivery
Lead end-to-end execution of retained searches, from mandate framing and search strategy through shortlists, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
Set research priorities, target company focus, and candidate evaluation criteria for each assignment.
Ensure quality, pace, and precision in all aspects of delivery, working closely with Principals, Senior Associates, and research teams.
Market Presence and Thought Leadership
Maintain a deep view of AI leadership markets, including compensation trends, organization design patterns, and leadership moves across key companies.
Represent Christian & Timbers in select forums, private events, and confidential networks relevant to AI, software, and capital formation.
Contribute to internal and client-facing insights on AI leadership, C-suite structures, and growth-stage leadership requirements.
Team Leadership and Development
Mentor and develop Principals, Senior Associates, and researchers, providing clear feedback, coaching, and role-modeling for high standards.
Foster a culture of analytical rigor, discretion, documentation quality, and client-centered execution across search teams.
Firm Building
Contribute to practice development in AI, engineering, product, data and go-to-market leadership.
Support internal initiatives related to knowledge management, process improvement and technology tools that enhance our search capabilities.
Ideal Profile
Significant experience in executive search with a track record leading senior-level assignments in technology, AI, or adjacent sectors, or a background in investment, strategy, or operating leadership with proven access to senior networks.
Strong relationships or relationship-building capability with founders, CEOs, investors, and senior functional executives.
Deep interest in AI infrastructure, applied AI, software platforms, and the broader innovation ecosystem.
Ability to structure complex information about companies, markets, and leaders into clear recommendations and search strategies.
High standard for written communication, documentation, follow-through, and professionalism under pressure.
Comfort leading multi-project portfolios and guiding teams through complex, time-sensitive assignments.
