Your Role and Responsibilities The Solutions Engineering team serves as the primary technical resource and internal advocate for all customers at HashiCorp. We identify customer challenges, propose solutions, and help customers realize the full value of the HashiCorp solutions.
Responsibilities
Serve as Trusted Advisor: Act as a trusted advisor to aligned accounts and stakeholders throughout the customer lifecycle.
Exhibit Strong Communication Skills: Influence decisions through effective presentations, demos, technical engagements, and workshops.
Understand the Customer’s Journey: Guide customers through a value realization journey aligned to strategic priorities, designing technical and business‑focused solutions.
Prove Business Value: Demonstrate the business value of HashiCorp solutions in solving customer problems and driving target outcomes.
Contribute to Customer Success: Participate in QBRs, cadence calls, office hours, and advanced roadmap sessions.
Drive Expansion and Adoption: Seek expansion within current product lines and promote adoption of integrated solutions.
Partner with Cross‑Functional Teams: Collaborate with Solutions Architecture, Customer Success, Professional Services, Product Management, and Engineering.
Provide Authoritative Guidance: Offer guidance on DevOps concepts, infrastructure architecture, cloud, IT operations, security, and development technologies.
Maintain Technology Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the HashiCorp portfolio, partner ecosystem, and competitive landscape.
This is a base + commission role, offering uncapped earning potential tied to sales results.
Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience: 5+ years in a Technical Pre‑Sales or Sales Engineering role, or equivalent.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in DevOps, software engineering, cybersecurity, cloud, microservices, containers, and scheduling platforms.
Customer Engagement: Proven experience implementing software products in large, dynamic enterprise companies.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, conveying complex technical concepts.
Problem‑Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions.
Collaboration: Experience working cross‑functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success teams.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 25%, with domestic and occasional international travel.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Knowledge of HashiCorp tools and experience with the HashiCorp portfolio.
Technical Certifications: Relevant AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or DevOps certifications.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
