Clinical Director, Supervised Release Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr
Job Summary CASES is a New York City non‑profit organization at the forefront of alternative to incarceration programs and comprehensive services for criminal justice‑involved populations. The Clinical Director is responsible for oversight and leadership of all clinical aspects of the Pretrial Services Department, including staff training and development. We are seeking a seasoned, mission‑driven clinician with proven leadership, direct‑service, and supervision skills to assist our staff in delivering services to the highest standards of a court‑based social service program.
Responsibilities Leadership
Consult and collaborate with other members of the Leadership team to plan and refine clinical aspects of the program and enhance the overall participant experience.
Serve as a liaison to the Quality, Data & Analytics and Evaluation units to coordinate responses to emerging trends in clinical presentation that meet the needs of participants.
Identify and track key performance metrics that may be measured to evaluate quality and opportunities for improvement.
Provide clinical guidance and contributions to the Development team that assist in the prospecting and completion of funding proposals that enhance program services.
Represent the program at internal and external meetings with funders, government agencies, and partner stakeholders to inform about best practices and innovative approaches.
Training
Directly plan, guide, and supervise the work of the Pretrial Training Coordinator and provide training coverage in their absence.
Coach and develop staff’s practice skills by providing live and virtual trainings on a variety of topics such as assessment, documentation, risk management, and other areas.
Facilitate and participate in individual and group supervision to enable staff development and progress toward higher levels of professional licensure.
Clinical Services
Responsible for the development and implementation of evidence‑based approaches within the department, including the coordination of new initiatives designed to improve services to participants and the work quality of direct service staff.
Serve as a liaison and resource to the Pretrial affiliated treatment teams by holding regular meetings with their clinicians and peers to ensure seamless collaboration with case coordination teams.
Collaborate with site managers in facilitating high‑risk and high‑profile meetings to support positive outcomes for participants who present with complex needs.
Provide expert clinical consultation to direct‑service staff and supervisors in multiple formats that is consistent with the organization’s mission, vision and values.
Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work or Mental Health Counseling with a minimum of five years of relevant direct service experience.
Actively licensed and registered in NYS as a Clinical Psychologist, LCSW, or LMHC‑D.
Ability to take initiative, prioritize duties, problem‑solve, meet deadlines and work well under pressure while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic work ethic.
Minimum 2–3 years of management experience within a social service or government‑funded program.
Documented experience training staff in a social service setting.
Knowledge and ability to apply evidence‑based approaches to appropriate clinical situations in a mandated program setting.
Strong communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with staff, court and community stakeholders as well as external entities.
Availability to work during established program times and travel to various program sites across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.
Strong foundation in CBT, Trauma‑informed Care, Crisis Response and Cultural Competency.
Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Knowledge of and commitment to social justice within the Criminal Legal System.
Preferred Skills
Bilingual Spanish and English (strongly preferred).
Familiarity with Salesforce database.
Salary $90,000 – $100,000 per year (based on skills and experience).
Shift Hours Full‑time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Location Address 4 West 125th Street, New York, NY 10027
Workplace Flexibility Hybrid – applicant will have one remote day per week after successfully completing the orientation period.
