Job Summary As a licensed Physician Assistant, you will deliver direct patient care and medical decision‑making across all phases of the cancer journey, in outpatient and inpatient settings. Responsibilities include history taking, physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing care plans, and performing bedside procedures when indicated.

Essential Functions

Perform comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations.

Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests.

Develop comprehensive care plans and follow‑up actions.

Prescribe medications per institutional guidelines and regulations.

Document patient encounters accurately (admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, discharge summaries).

Perform bedside procedures appropriate to the patient population.

Qualifications Education

Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Program (required). Advanced degree prior to licensure is not accepted.

Licensure

State‑licensed Physician Assistant (generic – HR only).

Experience

Preferred: Prior experience as a licensed Physician Assistant in a cancer or oncology setting.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Skilled history taking and assessment of medical conditions.

Maintain quality control standards in clinical practice.

Calm, effective response in emergency situations.

Interpret, adapt, and apply clinical guidelines and procedures.

Clear communication and ability to build effective relationships with patients, staff, and the public.
