Job Description The Computer Science Department at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a full-time tenure‑track faculty position to begin September 1, 2026. We will consider strong candidates in any research area but will prioritize Artificial Neural Networks.

A Ph.D. in computer science or a related area is required. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and start‑up package and is expected to establish a highly recognized, robust externally funded, and independent research program.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in computer science or a related field.

Strong research background in Artificial Neural Networks or related areas.

Experience in securing external funding and establishing an independent research program.

Commitment to teaching excellence and development of a teaching philosophy.

Salary Approximate range: $80,000 – $126,000. Exceptional candidates may receive higher salaries to ensure competitiveness within the academic market.
