Job Description The Computer Science Department at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a full‑time tenure‑track faculty position to begin September 1, 2026. The department welcomes strong candidates from any research area, with a particular emphasis on Artificial Neural Networks. Applicants are expected to establish a highly recognized, externally funded, and independent research program, and to contribute to the department’s teaching mission.
Eligibility and Qualifications
A PhD in computer science or a related area is required.
Demonstrated excellence in research, teaching, and service.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the university community.

Compensation and Benefits UMass Boston expects to pay within an approximate range of $80,000 to $126,000 for this position.
