Director, Market Strategy & Understanding As a Director you are collaborative by nature, have an eagle-eye attention to detail and brilliant organizational skills. In this role, you will be a trusted partner to leading technology and media companies, manage global research projects and help our clients solve their business problems by leveraging multiple research methodologies.

What You Can Expect To Be Doing

Independently price and write full proposals of all types with the goal of growing Ipsos business and presence with assigned clients.

Have vision across the spectrum of client needs and help connect the dots between projects.

May include linking projects to each other, pulling in other service lines, proactively sharing Ipsos capabilities of interest, and more.

May include new business outreach and structured business development plans.

Influential in internal process improvement, cross‑sector education (Tech, CPG, etc.) and subject‑matter expertise.

Mentor and train junior team members on best practices and career growth on an ongoing basis.

Create an internal brand within Ipsos and define the area where you want to be known as an expert.

Act as primary project lead to the client, overseeing more junior members.

Handle more complex conversations/communications around project design, analysis, and unexpected challenges.

Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members on their own client interactions.

Perform project‑management tasks focused on guidance, oversight and review of custom survey development, in‑field challenges and significant input to analysis planning and execution.

Lead or co‑lead final report writing elements, strategic client guidance and presentation of findings.

Act as manager to one or more Account Managers/Senior Account Managers.

Oversee training schedule, day‑to‑day guidance and supervision, and provide feedback (ongoing and during annual reviews).

Act as strategic leader for the project team and, in some cases, for the entire client account team.

Think through implications of actions, identify opportunities and risks, and act accordingly, balancing what the client needs with the optimal outcome for Ipsos.

Qualifications

Minimum 7+ years of research experience; ideally at least 5 years on the supplier side.

Strong team‑leadership skills with experience mentoring or managing others.

Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Superior organizational skills, attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Ability to balance detail with big‑picture perspective.

Ability to oversee multiple projects and manage workload of direct reports.

Creative thinking about aligning appropriate project resources.

Strong aptitude for research consulting with highly developed analytical skills.

Strategic thinking regarding clients’ business and growth opportunities for Ipsos.

Highly motivated, self‑directed and able to work within tight deadlines.

Strong client relationships.

Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
